Dragi colegi si prieteni,
Avem placerea sa va anuntam editia a 6-a eXplore dance festival – Bucharest International Contemporary Dance and Performance Festival, ce se va desfasura in perioada 1-16 octombrie, 2011. Cele mai importante teatre si muzee din Bucuresti vor gazdui si in acest an diferite activitati dedicate dansului.
Programul eXplore dance festival 2011 va include 30 de spectacole, 21 filme de dans (in parteneriat cu Cinedans Festival/Amsterdam), 8 workshop-uri, 5 lecture-uri, o masa rotunda, precum si o serie de evenimente si programe special precum: Meet the Next Generation – un program international intens de coaching pentru tineri coregrafi, Critical Endeavour si Prix Jardin d’Europe – activitati din cadrul proiectului european Jardin d’Europe.
Sub motto-ul “TURN UP!” va oferim o imagine de ansamblu a ceea ce reprezinta dansul contemporan si performance-ul ASTAZI.
15 spectacole realizate de artistii emergenti selectati in cadrul programului, se vor afla in acest an in competitie pentru Prix Jardin d’Europe (editia a 4-a) – premiu European constand in 10000 euro.
10 jurnalisti emergenti europeni vor alcatui grupul Critical Endeavour, acestia fiind responsabili pentru nominalizarea castigatorului Prix Jardin d’Europe 2011.
Festivalul va prezenta si in acest an diferite creatii realizate de artisti recunoscuti international si coregrafi emergenti, oferind o imagine ampla asupra celor mai importante directii din dansul contemporan si performance.
Coregrafi importanti precum Meg Stuart, Boris Charmatz, Philipp Gehmacher, Eszter Salamon, Jonathan Burrows, Benoit Lachambre/Cullberg Ballet isi vor prezenta spectacolele alaturi de cei mai creativi si talentati artisti emergenti. O selectie ce nu trebuie ratata!
Incepand cu editia din acest an, echipa eXplore dance festival este mandra sa va anunte primirea unei co-finantari de 3 ani din partea Programului Cultura al Uniunii Europe – o recunoastere cu un important impact asupra dezvoltarii festivalului.

Dear colleagues, dear friends,
We are pleased to announce you the 6th edition of eXplore dance festival – Bucharest International Contemporary Dance and Performance Festival that will take place from October 1st-16th , 2011. Once again the most important theatres and museums of Bucharest, will host a wide rage of dance activities.
2011 eXplore dance festival program will include 30 performances, 21 dance films (presented in partnership with Cinedans Festival/Amsterdam), 8 workshops, 5 lectures, a round table, as well as a series of special events and programs such as: Meet the Next Generation – an intensive international coaching programme for young choreographers, Critical Endeavour and Prix Jardin d’Europe - activities hosted within the European Project Jardin d’Europe.
Under the motto “TURN UP!” you’ll receive an overview of what European contemporary dance and performance scene is NOW.
15 performances by emerging artists selected in the festival program will be this year in the competition for the 4th Prix Jardin d’Europe – a European award consisting in 10000 euro.
10 European emerging journalists will form the group of Critical Endeavour who will have the responsibility to nominate the winner(s) of Prix Jardin d’Europe 2011.
The festival will once again present various works by world-known artists and emerging choreographers, offering a wide view of the most important directions in the field of contemporary dance and performance.
Acclaimed choreographers like Meg Stuart, Boris Charmatz, Philipp Gehmacher, Eszter Salamon, Jonathan Burrows, Benoit Lachambre/Cullberg Ballet a.o, will present their creations next to some of the European most creative and bright emerging artists. A selection not to be missed!
Starting with this year edition, eXplore dance festival team proudly announce you the receipt of a 3 years co-financing from the European Union - Culture Programme 2007-2013, a recognition with an important impact on the development of the festival.
